As the name suggests, a dangerous goods warehouse is a warehouse for storing dangerous goods. What is a dangerous goods? Take dangerous chemicals as an example here. Hazardous chemicals and other chemicals.
Due to the high degree of hazard of chemicals, the storage requirements for chemicals are also high. So what are the storage requirements for chemical warehouses?
1. Basic requirements for chemical storage
1. The storage of chemicals must comply with national laws, regulations and other relevant regulations.
2. When chemicals are stacked in the open air, they should meet the safety requirements of fire prevention and explosion-proof. First-class flammable materials, wet flammable materials, and highly toxic materials should not be stacked in the open air.
3. Warehouses for storing chemicals must be equipped with technical personnel with professional knowledge. The warehouses and places should be managed by special personnel. The management personnel must be equipped with reliable personal safety protection equipment.
4. Chemicals are classified and stored according to the provisions of national standards.
5. The stored chemicals should have obvious signs, and the signs should comply with the provisions of GB 190. When two or more chemicals of different grades are stored in the same area, the performance label of the highest grade chemical should be used.
2. Requirements for chemical warehouses
1. Buildings storing chemicals shall not have basements or other underground structures, and their fire resistance rating, number of floors, floor space, safe evacuation and fire separation distance shall comply with relevant national regulations.
2. The storage location and the setting of the building structure should not only comply with the relevant national regulations, but also consider the impact on the surrounding environment and residents.
3. Electrical installation requirements for storage sites:
(1) The fire-fighting electrical equipment in chemical storage buildings and places should meet the needs of fire-fighting electricity.
(2) Transmission and distribution lines in chemical storage areas or buildings, lamps, fire accident lighting and evacuation signs should all meet safety requirements.
(3) Lightning protection equipment must be installed in buildings that store flammable and explosive chemicals.
4. Ventilation requirements for storage places:
(1) The building where chemicals are stored must be equipped with ventilation equipment and take protective measures for the equipment.
(2) The ventilation and exhaust system of the building where chemicals are stored shall be provided with a grounding device to remove static electricity.
(3) The ventilation pipes shall be made of non-combustible materials.
(4) Ventilation ducts should not pass through fire barriers such as firewalls. When traversing is necessary, use non-combustible material for separation.
5. The temperature of the heating medium used for heating the building where chemicals are stored should not be too high, the hot water heating should not exceed 80 °C, and steam heating and mechanical heating should not be used.
6. The insulation materials of heating pipes and equipment must be non-combustible materials.
3. Requirements for the location of chemical warehouses
Correct selection of suitable locations for chemical storage and building warehouses as storage locations is an important measure to ensure chemical storage safety and public safety.
1. The warehouse for storing chemicals must be built separately, and the warehouse area should be set up separately from the administrative management, living area and auxiliary area. Even if it is a small warehouse, it should not be adjacent to other houses, and it is not allowed to store chemicals in the basement or semi-basement.
2. Chemical storage sites belonging to factories and enterprises should also pay attention: not to be installed in the center of factories and enterprises; not to be installed near crowded places; not to be installed near traffic arteries where people and vehicles frequently enter and exit. 5 Not to be installed Near canteens, open fire workplaces, substations and meter rooms.
It is understood that any chemicals listed in the "Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals", that is, highly toxic chemicals and other chemicals that are harmful, corrosive, flammable, and combustion-supporting, and are harmful to human body, facilities, and the environment must be stored in the Standard chemical warehouses so as not to endanger public safety.
